This past week Bentonville based big box giant Walmart posted nine Private Brand jobs including Quality, Design and Project Management. This is the largest set of job postings in the three years since the redesign and relaunch of Great Value.

The Summit will highlight key topics including GRS, Holiday Strategies, Operations, and Merchandising Initiatives.  We are inviting supply chain leaders and account executives to join us at noon on Tuesday, August 7^th and will conclude by 1:00 pm on Wednesday, August 8^th.  Workshops to follow from 2:00 pm – 5:00 pm.   Registration Site and information will be posted early June.  This is a great seminar for all suppliers who have the initiative to increase their supply chain strategy and thereby increase sales for both the supplier and Walmart.  Walmart’s best replenishment managers will be leading the seminar with breakout sessions for each major department in Walmart.  Don’t forget to Save the Date!

The Wall Street Journal Technology section has reported that Wal-Mart Stores is working with the Hollywood Movie Industry to provide a free, in-store service that helps users register their DVDs with Hollywood’s UltraViolet system, creating an online library that can be viewed on television, online or on mobile.
